Biography

Albert John Anderson (Jay) Young - his practice is concentrated in Harford County in the area of business, real property, land use, estate planning and estate administration. He enjoys the distinction of planning and administering many of the largest estates probated in Harford County as well as some of the most significant residential and commercial projects developed in the County. Also active in land preservation. Mr. Young was named "Preservationist of the Year" by the Harford County Executive in 2005. Mr. Young was named "Philanthropist of the Year" by the Maryland Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Mr. Young is a graduate of Washington College in Chestertown, MD, where he received the Clark-Porter Medal "awarded to the student whose character and personal integrity, in the opinion of the faculty, has most clearly enhanced the quality of campus life"; served two terms as Student Government Association President, and was inducted into the Omicron-Delta-Kappa Honor Society "in recognition of conspicuous attainments and service in collegiate activities".

Mr. Young received his law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1984. Before joining the firm he previously served as law Clerk to the Honorable Edward A. DeWaters Jr., later Chief Judge of the Third Judicial Circuit of Maryland.
